When it comes to wellness, we think there’s one thing you need to do to have success. It’s surprisingly easy. All you need to do is to just get started.

The Conversation About Wellness

Starting the conversation about wellness in your workplace is the first step and one of the ultimate goals of your wellness program. Your employees’ health is up to each of them. The path they take and the choices they make are their own.

When you start talking about wellness at work, you’re encouraging your employees to think about their own healthy lifestyles. You’re helping them figure out just what their health means to them.

By just getting started with your wellness program, you’re allowing your employees to take that motivation and run with it. You’re giving them the boost they need to work towards a healthy lifestyle.

Yes there are specifics you can suggest, and areas of health you can educate on. But that doesn’t mean there’s one path that every single employee will follow. There’s no one road to victory—but each road starts at the same place. That place is wherever you choose to begin your wellness program.

Success Means…

…lots of things. A lot of different things can determine how successful a wellness program is. It all depends on your company and your employees.

For individuals, a successful wellness program is one that gets them moving in their healthy lifestyle. That might mean setting goals, reaching goals and meeting healthy milestones. It’s all dependent on where your employees are at and what they want in wellness.

For companies, a successful wellness program can mean even more things. It might be a program that helps a company save money on insurance costs. Maybe it’s a program that’s been able to help with talent acquisition. Perhaps it’s a program that’s helped create healthier employees who take fewer sick days.

Your goals will help you define success in your wellness program. Take a look at what you want from wellness to really learn what it means to be successful.

Success on both the individual and corporate levels starts with the same step—getting started. Success can be a broad goal in wellness. You can’t reach any kind of success without simply beginning the conversation about health where you work.

You can be successful with your wellness program. It’s not a trick question. That’s because success is up to you, your company and your employees. There are a million different ways to define success in wellness.

They all start with the same step though—just get started.
