5 Tips for Better Biometric Screening Communication

Posted by Lisa Stovall on Wed, Dec, 18, 2013

Consistent, transparent communication is vital for a successful on-site biometric screening program. It's the key to having employees understand what the organization is doing for them and the reason behind the screenings.

Now you might be asking, "Aren't screenings just a small part of a wellness program?" And the answer is yes. But they are becoming even more important thanks to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In fact, according to a 2013 Towers Watson/National Business Group on Health Employer Survey, 75% of companies are expected to require employees to complete a HRA and/or biometric screening to be eligible for financial incentives in 2014. And with outcomes-based wellness programs garnering a lot of interest, it's becoming critical that companies pay close attention to how they communicate screenings.

Here at TotalWellness, we often help create communication strategies for our clients and along the way we've learned some best practices. So we're sharing five tips on how to promote biometric screenings within your organization.
