fitbitCountless research studies have shown that physical activity drives better health and longevity. In fact, exercise is the single best thing you can do for your brain in terms of mood, memory, and learning. So, as corporate wellness providers, we are constantly looking for ways to encourage employees to be more active.

At TotalWellness, we love the thought of automatically tracking fitness through pedometers and wireless activity trackers to stay motivated. That's why we're super excited to announce the integration of the Fitbit® tracking device with our Go! TotalWellness Portal. This new upgrade automatically transfers real-time data into the Ready, Set, Fit! tracker.

If you're not familiar with Ready, Set, Fit!, it's an amazing resource that provides:

Nutrition Tools

Our calorie counter enables employees to accurately record with a database of 40,000+ foods and recipes. Plus, employees can try our mix-and-match sample menus and recipes for great meals.

Fitness Tools

Workout routines and over 1,200 instructional exercise videos help participants get in shape. Now those employees who use Fitbit activity trackers and weight scales will be able to connect those devices to their Ready,Set, Fit! dashboard with one click, and automatically upload data. The portal will not only track and report on calories burned, but steps, distance, floors, hours of sleep and weight can all be integrated.

Individual and Team Challenges

Create custom challenges around weight loss, fitness, body inches lost and nutrition. Participants can see how they measure up with real-time leaderboards.

Social Support

Healthy behaviors can spread. Create a destination for your employees to connect and share experiences in with message boards/blogs focused on health, wellness, fitness interests and goals.

Plus, with the aggregate reporting tools, employers can see at a glance number of participants, pounds lost, and meals/workouts that have been recorded. Allowing you to track progress and make adjustments to your wellness programing.
