At TotalWellness, we know that our success depends on the incredible contractors who bring health services to workplaces across the country. You are the face of our events, the ones making real connections with employees, and the reason we can deliver high-quality wellness experiences.
That’s why we wanted to hear directly from you! We recently conducted a Contractor Experience Survey, and an incredible 421 of you shared your thoughts. From what you love about working with us to areas where we can improve, your feedback gives us a clear picture of how we can better support you.
So, what did we learn? Overall, most of you have had positive experiences, feel well-prepared, and appreciate the flexibility our work offers. At the same time, we heard your concerns — especially about event availability, scheduling challenges, and compensation.
We’re breaking down the survey results to show you exactly what we heard and, more importantly, what we’re doing about it.
What You Love About Working With Us
- Positive Experiences: 71.8% of you rated your experience as Excellent or Very Good! We’re thrilled to hear that most of you have had positive experiences at our flu shot and health screening events. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we love knowing that you feel good about the work you do with us.
- Strong Communication: 86% of you said our event communication was Excellent or Good. Keeping you informed with clear, timely updates is something we take seriously, and we’ll continue to refine our communication to ensure you always have the information you need.
- Feeling Prepared: An impressive 94% of you reported feeling well-prepared for events. Whether it’s our training resources, event instructions, or staff support, we’re glad to know that you feel confident when you arrive at an event.
- Flexibility & Independence: Many of you love the ability to choose shifts that fit your schedule and enjoy the independence of working solo while still feeling supported by our team. This balance is something we aim to maintain so you can continue working in a way that suits your lifestyle.
- Professionalism & Support: You highlighted the great teamwork, organization, and reliability of our system — especially when it comes to prompt direct deposit payments. Your trust in our process means everything to us, and we’re committed to keeping things running smoothly.
What You’d Like to See Improve (And What We’re Doing About It)
- Event Availability: We know that many of you want more work and often ask, “Why aren’t there more events in my area?” The reality is that event availability depends on several factors — like location, time of year, and client demand. While we can’t control where and when events happen, we’re actively working to expand our client base and bring more opportunities to as many locations as possible.
If you’d like to see a full list of events available in your area, you can do so anytime by clicking on the Nominate tab near the top right in the Scheduling System. - Scheduling Conflicts: Some of you mentioned that early morning events, short-notice scheduling, and brief event durations can be challenging. While the client needs to determine some scheduling factors, we’re looking at ways to provide more advance notice whenever possible.
- Compensation Concerns: We heard concerns about pay for shorter events, travel-related costs, and additional responsibilities. While we strive to offer competitive compensation, we understand that some situations may feel less than ideal. We’re evaluating your feedback to see where improvements can be made and will continue to advocate for fair compensation.
- Training & Development: Newer contractors expressed a desire for more hands-on training, mentorship, and refresher courses. We recognize the importance of continuous learning and are exploring ways to offer additional support to ensure every contractor feels confident and prepared.
We also want to make sure you know about the resources we already have available. You can find training materials, guides, and paperwork anytime at our Training & Paperwork section. This page includes everything you need to prepare for events, from flu certification details to step-by-step guides on screenings. If you ever feel unsure about an event, we encourage you to check out these resources first.
- Logistical Challenges: Some of you mentioned that returning supplies and managing paperwork can be time-consuming. We get it — no one loves paperwork! We’re actively exploring solutions to streamline these processes and make things as efficient as possible.
