Looking for free health and wellness classes?
Whether you want to share them with your team or wellness committee (AKA your workplace wellness champions), providing resources puts valuable wellness information in front of the people who need it most.
Best of all, if it’s engaging and useful, employees are more likely to be on board with “taking” a class.
In a time when many companies are cutting back on budgets, watching funding is essential. But it’s important to take into consideration the impact it may have on wellness committees and members' abilities to launch new wellness campaigns, attend wellness events, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
This post shares five valuable courses that are worth going through — and all for free!
Yale University
This course is taught by Dr. Laurie Santos, a Professor of Psychology and Head of Silliman Residential College at Yale University. In this course, participants have a chance to take challenges designed to “increase your own happiness and build more productive habits.” Dr. Santos shares misconceptions about happiness, along with research on how to change and incorporate specific wellness activities into your life. The course includes a mix of readings, quizzes, and videos in an interactive format to keep you engaged, too!
Stanford University
With a 98% rating, this course is taught by Dr. Maya Adam, lecturer at Stanford School of Medicine. This course focuses on practical discussions around real food and the environments we consume this food in. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of identifying foods that support health and those that are less than nutritious.
